Join Detroit Bird Alliance and Detroit Hives for a tour of local Detroit Greenspaces!Detroit Bird Alliance and Detroit Hives are excited to invite you to our Detroit Greenspace Bus Tour including a stop at the Historic Fort Wayne. During the bus tour, we will visit a range of greenspace locations including some Detroit Bird City and partner sites. Across 4 hours, we will visit 5 locations within the city of Detroit to display community driven conservation restoration efforts.
Sites include: Palmer Park, Callahan Park, Historic Fort Wayne, Brightmoor Pollinator Habitat and Michigan State University (DPFLI).
Bring your own water bottles. Lunch will be provided at the end of the tour. Other helpful items: Binoculars, sunscreen, bug spray and a hat.
This event will run rain or shine. So be sure to dress for the weather.

The Detroit Bird City (DBC) project aims to transform unmaintained land and unused lawns into native plant meadows that function as beautiful community greenspaces with natural habitat beneficial to wildlife such as birds and pollinators.
Detroit Hives will introduce two sites where they've planted gardens at farms that benefit bee colonies and neighborhood residents.
Historic Fort Wayne had been a significant landmark for Native American communities for roughly a millennium prior to the construction of the 1842 star fort.
Thanks to grant funding from National Audubon, we have been able to provide this bus tour at a substantially discounted rate.
