The 'Doppler Girls' are coming to the SW Region to help our role in the early detection and prevention vascular issues of the lower limb.
About this Event

Early detection and prevention of vascular issues is something that in our roles as Podiatrists we can be at the forefront with the right education and skills. We are thrilled that the 'Doppler Girls' have agreed to visit us in the South West so here is ian introduction to them;

Emily Howarth and Joanne Casey

Emily and Joanne are specialist podiatrists with an interest in vascular disease. Between them they have 40 years of clinical experience in both NHS and private practice; management of podiatry research and leadership projects and have spoken on the topic of peripheral vascular disease within the UK and Internationally. They hold senior positions in national advisory groups with Emily being current chair of the Vascular specialist advisory group and Joanne, chair of the Legs Matter coalition. They both believe in upskilling podiatrists and other HCP's in vascular health by developing confidence, capability and competence in vascular assessment.

They hope that this session will provide the delegates both with the knowledge and the skills to support the identification and management of PAD, including onward referral and the MDT approach to vascular services.
