Join DeTar's Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive!
DeTar Healthcare System is once again hosting the Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive, running from March 2–23, 2026, to help fight hunger in the Crossroads. This important initiative, supporting the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, focuses on collecting one of the most requested, yet least donated, items at food banks: peanut butter.
DeTar will have a booth to collect donations at the Victoria Farmers' Market on Saturday, March 7th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will share more about how you can get involved. We encourage you to stop by and bring a jar or two to support the cause! Peanut butter is a critical source of protein, nutrition, and energy for families facing food insecurity.
It’s also one of the most affordable, shelf-stable items we can provide to those in need. This year, we’re expanding the reach of the campaign and bringing it to the entire 11-county region served by the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent as well as DeTar Healthcare System.
