The SpeakEasy Project will host a Diversity Dinner on May 6th.
Our topic for this dinner is the Stigma of Mental Illness. Our founder, Anyta Wilson, will explain the difference between mental health and mental illness. We'll also explore why some mental illnesses are received with grace, while others are experienced with alarm or even ridicule.
Dinner includes a shared meal, a cash bar, and guided conversation with trained facilitators. The goal of the evening is open respectful dialogues which often bridge gaps between people from diverse backgrounds.
