DesignTinkers 5-day Holiday Camp (Mar)

Join us for an exciting 5-day Holiday Camp where children dive into a world of creativity and innovation! Designed to spark curiosity, this hands-on camp invites kids to explore a variety of make-and-build projects; encouraging experimentation, enhancing dexterity, and strengthening both creative and critical thinking skills. Each day brings a new opportunity to learn, create, and have fun through purposeful play and exploration.

On Day 1, explore the art of model making and unleash your creativity by building your very own TreeHouse! Students will conceptualise and construct their Treehouse with thoughtful consideration of key design elements such as form, features, levels, platforms, openings and the support structures needed to bring their TreeHouse designs to life.

Sketch, Plan & Build Process

Uniquely Different TreeHouse Designs

On Day 2 and 3, students will take on the role of an interior designer to create their own bedroom.
They'll be introduced to the fundamentals of floor planning, furniture types, materials, colours, and textures to personalize their space. Students will then get hands-on, learning model-making techniques to transform everyday materials into a unique prototype of their dream bedroom.

On the last two days of the camp, Day 4 and 5, students will take on the role of thoughtful designers as they conceptualize, plan, and build a sanctuary tailored to the needs of a selected animal species: Penguins, Monkeys, Elephants, or Otters. Each species presents unique behavioural traits and environmental needs, offering a rich context for learning. They will then begin sketching a layout that considers spatial requirements, environmental features, climate needs, and opportunities for enrichment before building up a unique 3D prototype of their Animal Sanctuary.

DesignTinkers camps are thoughtfully curated and led by a passionate team of educators, architects and designers with a shared mission: to inspire and empower young minds through design. With extensive experience working with children, our instructors are dedicated to nurturing each student’s creative interests in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. All our camps are held in our spacious and conducive classrooms where students can create and explore freely under guidance.
