About this Event
Classrooms today are expected to support a wide range of learners, teaching styles, and activities, often within the same class period. Yet many learning spaces were not designed to adapt to how teaching and learning actually happen.
This session explores how intentionally designed classrooms can better support student engagement, collaboration, movement, and focus. You’ll learn how thoughtful layout and flexible furniture choices can remove barriers to learning and give students more ways to participate and succeed.
Following the presentation, participants will take part in Dream School, a hands-on design experience that brings these ideas to life. Using an interactive planning tool, you’ll experiment with classroom layouts, test different configurations, and visualize how space can support real teaching goals and everyday classroom challenges.
Whether you’re exploring future renovations, planning small classroom updates, or simply curious about how space impacts learning, this session will leave you with practical ideas, inspiration, and a fresh perspective on what’s possible when classrooms are designed with students in mind.
