Designer Led Tour- "Designing Through the Decades with Tile"

Join designer Jennifer Kasselmann at Art by Design Interiors for “Designing Through the Decades with Tile” on Friday, May 1 at 10 AM at Michigan Design Center. Jennifer will guide you through select showrooms, exploring the evolution of tile—from the 1920s to today.

1920s – Art Deco with rich patterns and classic black-and-white subway tile
1950s – Pastel colors and playful patterns
1970s – Earthy tones with bold geometrics and funky patterns
1990s – Minimalism with clean lines and modern neutrals
2010s – Modern farmhouse and industrial charm — subway, hex, and herringbone
2020s – Natural, organic looks with large-format tile
2026 – Natural stone and old-world organic style — handcrafted details, pleated textures, warm tones, and retro patterns
