About this Event

Are you the designated safeguarding lead for your organisation that works with children or young people in South Gloucestershire? Is your organisation a community or voluntary establishment?

This is an opportunity for you to be trained about Safeguarding Children and to know your roles and responsibilites as the safeguarding lead person. South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Partner have funded places for you so that together we can offer safer groups for our children and young people across the local authority.

It is being hosted by Sue Wheeler who has been commissioned by South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board to deliver this training. They have approved this course.

Is this opportunity open to everyone?

This training is for anyone who is or will be the DSL for your organisation. Your organisation needs to be in the voluntary or community sector.

What do I need for the event?

Please make sure you have a pen/pencil and some paper to make notes, the slides will be sent after the session.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes. Each attendee will recieve a certified certificate at the end of the course.

Do I have to pay for the course?

No. The course is free. It is being funded by South Gloucestershire Safeguarding Partner
