Use your lived experience to deliver a project intended to better understand the racial inequalities in perinatal mental health
About this Event

- The project begins with listening to and generating empathy and understanding for perinatal experiences and challenges through coproduction. But before we can do that, we need to put together the material we will use in those coproduction sessions.

- You are invited to participate in a design workshop where we will be designing those materials.

- In the workshop, we will design a persona - a fictional character with life circumstances that are relatable and believable to black women who have used perinatal services

- In the workshop, we will also design scenarios - accounts of situations that the fictional character has experienced in their journey before, during, and after using perinatal services

- Your voice and lived experience are important to getting the persona and scenarios right, which will give us a better chance of getting the project right.

- Lunch will be provided.

- A £15 voucher will be given to all participants. And, £5 will be issued to cover travel expenses. However, the biggest reward for us all is the change this will bring about.
