Design and Build a Caribbean Carnival Masquerade (Mas)!

LA CARNIVAL MAS CAMP 2026

April 25, 2026 - June 19, 2027 

Between May 1 and June 25, 2026, Los Angeles Carnival will host a residency program in Caribbean carnival arts at 4429 Crenshaw Boulevard, LA 90043.  Topics to be covered include Leadership, how to form and lead a carnival band, Outreach and recruitment,  mas making, costume design, and Carnival participation. The residency will provide instruction and fabrication workshops covering design, dance, performance, and carnival management. All sessions will be held at LA Carnival Studios, 4429 S. Crenshaw Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90043. Each session has a 30-minute presentation followed by hands-on mask-making
