About the Event

Desi Music Collective x ASA is proud to present One Day Choir, back for 2026! Join us on Saturday, April 11th at The Nook in San Francisco, for the song "Golden Hour," conducted by Emily Drum.

Welcome to our South Asian inspired One Day Choir (ODC)! Whether you're a seasoned singer, a shower belter, or someone who's never sung in a group before, this event is for you. Spend an afternoon learning a song together, building community, and raising our voices as one. No auditions, no solos, no pressure, just the joy of singing together!

After reserving your spot, we will send out an email with the full score, individual voice part files, and more details regarding the agenda.

This event is free to attend. A recommended donation of $15 helps us cover the cost of the conductor, venue, refreshments, and gifts for participants. ASA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, and any contribution will directly support our mission! Donate via Zeffy, feel free to adjust to whatever feels right for you, thank you!

Media Consent: There will be photos & videos taken. By attending, you consent to be included in this media that may be posted online.

The countdown begins! Please make sure your contact email is correct so you receive your arrangement files. See you in SF :)

What to Expect
  • Sing & create together under the guidance of Emily Drum: learn an a cappella arrangement from scratch and perform it as a group by the end
  • Light refreshments to keep you fueled through the afternoon
  • Build connections with fellow singers, musicians, and friends across SF and the South Asian A Cappella community
  • An open, inclusive space where every voice is welcome, with no experience necessary
  • Receive a recording of the group performance to remember the day!

About ASA

The Association of South-Asian A Cappella (ASA) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to growing and cultivating the South Asian a cappella genre across the US and beyond.
