Des Plaines Public Library and History Center Tour

Join the LACONI Recharge Section for a tour of the Des Plaines Public Library (1501 Ellinwood Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016) and the Des Plaines History Center (781 Pearson Street, Des Plaines, IL 60016). Meet the staff and learn about the history, architecture and design of the library as well as discuss the issues associated with those aspects.

Meet other library workers while experiencing the ins and outs of a library that may be new to you.

Please make sure to meet in the main lobby by 2:55pm since the tour will start promptly at 3. The tour will take approximately an hour where we will then walk across the street to tour the archives at the history center and see the Kinder House, a "Queen Anne" style building built in 1907.
