About the facilitator:
Ioana Simion is an artist-educator and facilitator based in East London. She runs creative workshops under the artistic identity of Artizine UK. Her socially-engaged art practice explores the use of zine-making as a vehicle to empower individuals to share their stories, develop imaginative skills and practice well-being in a social setting.
Ioana is passionate about participation and amplifying community spaces where people with no former arts training can receive support to expand on their experiences and skills. Since 2019, she’s been collaborating with artists, not for profits and art galleries to design and deliver art workshops which celebrate the joy of making and the process behind it.
