Derick Lugo set out on the Appalachian Trail with no hiking experience -- and an extremely overweight backpack. Through his journey, he learned lessons on preparation, humility, race relations and nature’s wild unpredictability, lessons he wrote about in his memoir, "The Unlikely Thru-Hiker." Derick will join us on Friday, February 7 for an inspiring evening at the beautifully renovated Mercantile Library. Adventure Crew’s RAD (Raising Access and Diversity) Women's Collective is hosting Derick as a kickoff to its speaker series. The evening begins with 6 p.m. reception (cash bar available), followed by Derick's presentation at 6:30 p.m. and a Q&A session. Tickets are $15.
Special thanks to our event sponsors: Roads Rivers and Trails, Summit Trek & Travel and The Mercantile Library.
We can't wait for Derick to share his story with us -- and you! Get (or gift!) your tickets today and plan for some inspiration in the new year.
