Do you think you have what it takes to beat Judge White fishing? Well prepare your case and try your best.
On Saturday, March 7th 2026, Derek White in is not shutting up, he is putting up! He believes he can beat anyone fishing for Redfish in the local waters. The top 3 teams (and newly added all woman team) who can beat him will receive a cash prize.
1st = $3000.00
2nd = $1,500.00
3rd = $750.00
Lady angler team $500.00 (must be all woman team) Lady team will receive both the first, second or third place money of placing as well as lady team prize money
Calcutta largest red over slot $250.00
Even if you don’t beat him, dinner is on him after the tournament. All entrants will be treated to a bbq slider with lowcountry boil and huge crab legs courtesy of Smokehouse BBQ and brew . Dinner will be from 4-6pm.

TOURNAMENT RULES:
The 4th Annual “Derek and Tye’s redfish invitational “Tournament will be limited to the first 30 boats to enter. The following rules shall apply, and each entrant agrees to these rules solely by virtue of entering the tournament.
The tournament shall take place on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 7 am until 3 pm. Captains meeting will take place at Savannah bend marina Thursday March, 5th at 6 pm. All entered vessels must attend captains meeting. Also will need all entrants shirts sizes for tournament shirts provided by the contest
RULES:
1. There will be a cash prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. In order to qualify to place, your individual total weight must be greater than Judge White’s total weight.
2. Entry fee is $225 per boat. A third fisherman can be added, if it is only
A child 16 and under or woman wanting to be the 3rd member is free.
3. Each entrant shall pay $225.00 at the Captain’s meeting which will be held Thursday, March 5th at 6:00 pm at MarineMax Hall Marina in Thunderbolt, GA. The entry fee can be paid by check, Venmo, or other accepted electronic means.
4. Each boat may only have 2-3 people entered in the tournament and at least one person must attend the Captain’s meeting. When fishing, only those people who have entered the tournament may be in the boat.
5. All Fishermen and Fisherwomen desiring to enter the tournament shall send their Name, Address, Telephone Number and Email address to the following emails:

Your submission/entry information MUST be sent to both email addresses or your entry will not be counted. You will receive a confirmation # from the tournament organizers.
6. Entrants may only launch from one of the following public ramps. Failure to check-in and launch from one of these public ramps is automatic disqualification: unless launching from marina in Savannah area

-Lazaretto Public Ramp
-Turner’s Creek Public Ramp
7. Only legal size Redfish can be counted. Once the fish is caught, it must be weighed and measured which shall be entered by a smart phone. Each boat must have a measuring stick(slap stick) that is handheld. Once the video is taken, it will be upload to the app and codeword used in video provided at the Captain’s meeting.
8. The video must show the spots on the fish or it will not be counted.
9. Any video uploaded prior to blast off time or after 3 pm will not be counted.
10. Catch and release 3 fish. No fish will be brought in to be weighed. Live bait and artificial baits only. No dead or frozen bait allowed.
11. The boundaries of the tournament are North River of Daufuski Island and north of the Ogeechee River. All Georgia and South Carolina fishing regulations must be followed at all times while fishing in the tournament.
12. Only boats with an outboard motor greater than 40 horsepower shall be allowed to enter the tournament.
13. Entrants are not allowed to fish from the shore, bank, or get out of a boat for any reason.
14. All boats must be in navigable waters. Private lagoons or marinas are off-limits.
15. No professional guides or persons who guide full-time are allowed to compete in the tournament.
16. No Fishing within 100 yards of another boat or entrant, unless a boat not in the competition unsportsmanlike approaches your boat.
17. If there is a tie in weight, total length will be the deciding factor. If there is a tie after the weight and length, the total number of spots on the three fish will be the deciding factor.
18. All decisions are final and will be made by the tournament organizers.
19. All entrants enter at their own risk and will hold harmless, without exception and for any reason, the organizers, MarineMax, and any other entity that could be affiliated with this tournament.
20. All entrants acknowledge and agree that the Georgia Recreational Property Act shall apply to them, the organizers, MarineMax, and any other entity that could be affiliated with this tournament.
21. All entrants acknowledge and agree that if they violate these rules there could and will be criminal and civil penalties in the nature of monetary fines in an amount no less than all entries fees paid.
