About this Event
Derbyshire Refugee Conference 2026
The annual Derbyshire Refugee Conference will take place again this year at the University of Derby on Friday 12 June 2026 (10am - 5pm).
Join us for an insightful, full-day in-person event bringing together researchers, organisations and individuals with lived experience, to discuss contemporary issues facing displaced people and those seeking sanctuary locally, nationally and internationally.
The programme will include research presentations, insights from individuals with lives experience and those supporting them, and updates about the work undertaken as part of the 'University of Sanctuary' initiative at the University of Derby and of the City of Sanctuary network. The afternoon session will also feature an interactive workshop on 'telling effective positive stories about refugees'.
Register now on our Eventbrite page to book your free place at the conference and to join our mailing list so you can receive the full programme for the conference once it is finalised.
