About this Event

Illustration Programme at Camberwell College of Arts present The Office for Speculative Landscapes, a dynamic illustration festival at Camberwell Space, blending workshops, performances, talks, and discussions. Reimagined as a hybrid critical-illustration studio and arts-education think-tank, the space will foster experimentation, community, and creative play.

Join us for a discussion and interactive session featuring INIVA's Archivist, Kaitlene Koranteng, and artist Sondliwe Pamisa, who has previously collaborated with the archive. This event offers a opportunity to explore the intersection of art, archives, and creative collaboration.

Designed for a general audience of all backgrounds and ages, this event invites anyone with an interest in art, archives, and cultural preservation. Whether you're an artist, researcher, student, or simply curious, this session will be engaging and accessible.

The audience will have the chance to participate in some writing exercises, discussions, ask questions, and engage directly with the speakers in a Q&A session.

Biographies

Kaitlene Koranteng is an archivist, engagement producer and poet with an interest in exploring marginalised histories and access to archives.

Koranteng currently works at INIVA, is part of a group archivists and librarians working with the Library of Africa and the African Diaspora, is a coordinating member of the Young Historian Project and is on the editorial board of History Matters journal, an accessible, free journal sharing histories of African and Caribbean People in Britain.

Sondliwe Pamisa is a Zimbabwean-British interdisciplinary artist living and working in London, UK.

Drawing upon literary, cinematic, and musical influence to produce freeform narratives that capture the expansiveness of the Afropolitan experience, Pamisa’s abstract and figurative works examine the elusive complexities of diasporic living and identity.

A recipient of the Colart + Griffin Gallery Residency (2021) and a fellow of Adidas London & Guap Magazine’s ‘Original Creator’s Network’ Class of 24; his work has been commissioned in multimedia formats and exhibited in group and solo shows including En Route, Southwark Park Galleries (2024) and Stories We Could Tell, Roundhouse (2024).
