Armed Guard Training:
City & County of Denver requirements: Denver requires this class for new guards and renewals that are seeking an armed endorsement or renewing a current one. This course is required yearly. This course meets all the requirements required by Denver.
Our program equips individuals and companies seeking “Armed” status certification. The City & County of Denver Per the Denver Municipal Ordinance, requires anyone performing security tasks while openly carrying a firearm within Denver’s jurisdiction must obtain a security guard license with “Armed” status via Denver Excise & Licensing. Our courses cater to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced handgun users.
Armed Class Overview:
– 5-Hour Classroom Session
– 4-Hour Firearms Training
– Qualification Test (Minimum pass rate: 80%)
Annual Renewal for Armed Endorsement:
Denver mandates yearly renewals of armed status, necessitating guards to re-qualify with their firearm before renewal.

– Full-Sized Handgun
– 3 Magazines
– Holster Designed & Fitted for Firearm (OWB Level 1 or Higher)
– Dual Magazine Holder
– Ear & Eye Protection
– 300 Rounds of Ammunition (For New Training)
– 300 Rounds of Ammunition (For Renewal)
– Targets
Training Costs:
– Armed Training (New): $250/student (1 day)
– Armed Training (Renewal): $250/student (1 day)
– Range Fee: Varies by Range
