Vocalist Dennis Hastings has been working in the Puget Sound region for the last 30 years, starting his career as a rhythm and blues musician with his first band, the Harmonic Tremors. Moving finally into jazz performance, he began the long process of tirelessly gigging in Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia which eventually led to the honor of playing on the same bill with such luminaries as Bobby McFerrin, Cleo Laine, John Lee Hooker, Howard Roberts, Jan Stentz, Greta Matassa, Gail Pettis, and many others.He now brings to the stage with him two of the areas finest musicians, David Lee Joyner on piano and Clipper Anderson on bass, presenting his unique brand of vocal jazz, including the compositions of David Frishberg, Ivan Lins, Duke Ellington, Eddie Jefferson, Mose Allison, Mel Torme’, Jimmy Webb and others.
