Sofija Pašalić is a print maker, illustrator, animator and member of the untameable art collective Matrijaršija in Belgrade, Serbia. She has studied graphic arts and bookmaking and is continuously pushing the creative boundaries of her craft. Her illustrations are fast, strong, playful, often dealing with people and their motions-emotions in our consumerist online landscape. Shoppers, robots, commercials, constant stream of impressions, live stream of images, contemporary life isn’t that bad – just stupid and impossible. Heroes and heroines, gradients and fades, street art, generic “people”, vanity fair, paper dolls, humanoids, digesting billboards, the endless scroll, hit radio, youtube videos, a shopping mall point of view.
