The mind is a powerful organ and can be used to its potential. Mindfulness and meditation can be practiced and you can achieve more than you ever expected. This lecture will be your first stepSelf-awareness, mindfulness, and meditation can be boiled down to one supremely important skill, listening, a skill that is learned and sharpened with practice. The intention in the talk is to demystify mindfulness and meditation and identify some of the many practical ways that listening and self-reflection can be utilized for personal growth, self-healing, creating inner peace, and joyous living. This talk kicks off a new series of weekly support group meetings in which participants will support each other through the quality of their listening as we share our personal experiences and learn new perspectives and new skills.
