It is estimated that by 2040, 1.6 million people in the UK will be living with dementia, with around two-thirds living at home supported by a family member or friend.
Would you like to understand a little more about dementia and how you can better support someone living with the condition, whether at home, in a care setting, or out in the community?
We are delighted to invite residents, families, friends, staff, and members of the local community to our free Dementia Friends Training Sessions at Sunnybank House.
What to expect:
• A friendly, informal, and relaxed session
• Led by a trained Dementia Friends Ambassador
• Practical tips, hints, and ideas you can use every day
• Opportunity to ask questions and chat
• Session lasts around one hour
At the end of the session, you will receive a Dementia Friends badge to wear with pride, showing your commitment to understanding and supporting people affected by dementia.
☕ Complimentary refreshments will be available, with time to chat in a comfortable, relaxed setting.
