Dementia Caregivers Group - Join us on Thursday September 19 in the Family Resource Room, 1:00-3:00 pm.In 2020, more than half a million Canadians were living with dementia, that number is even greater now. The journey is challenging, not only for those diagnosed with dementia, but also for their families and communities who care for them. According to the Alzheimer’s Society, “87% of dementia caregivers wish that more people understood the realities of caring for someone with dementia.”
If you are the primary caregiver to someone diagnosed with dementia, we would like to provide some space for you to receive support and encouragement as you navigate a challenging and necessary role. The Dementia Caregivers group is a place where people caring for someone living with dementia can expect to receive Christian encouragement, refreshment, prayer, resourcing, and networking. No Cost, but please register.
Following this gathering, we will continue to meet the 1st Thursday of each month.
