About this Event
Loneliness and unmet social needs often show up as pacing, exit‑seeking, or “wandering.” This session reframes these behaviors as communication and explores ways to create connection, purpose, and belonging.
This session is part of the ABC Dementia Care Empowerment Series, hosted by Sagebrush Speech Therapy and facilitated by ABC Dementia Care.
Session Focus
Social Needs: Connection, Belonging & the Meaning of “Wandering”
We will explore:
- Loneliness and social disconnection
- Why “wandering” is often about connection, not escape

You’ll leave with new ways to interpret behaviors and respond with curiosity instead of fear.
