The Delius Society presents a free lunchtime recital of this great composor's best-loved works.About this Event
Join us for a lunchtime concert celebrating the music of one of Britain’s most enigmatic composers.
Born in Bradford in 1862 to a German immigrant family, Frederick Delius spent his early years roaming the Yorkshire moors. Though he would live much of his life abroad, the atmosphere of those formative surroundings echoes throughout his work.
“He belongs to no school, follows no tradition, and is like no other composer.”
– The Times, 1929
