Continuously pushing the boundaries of whisky innovation, Dr Bill and Gillian imagined a whisky inspired by the mosaic of flavours and vibrant colours of spice markets. A Tale of Spices captures the essence of these bustling and storied marketplaces through its unique marriage of four cask finishes (i.e. Moroccan red wine, new charred oak, Pedro Ximénez sherry, and shaved toasted red wine casks). It is spicy, sweet, and wonderfully perfumed, with lovely perfumed notes of rose, carnation, jasmine, and lilac, along with a myriad of spices on the nose. The mouthfeel bursts with sizzling spices, lots of ginger, black pepper, and mustard seed, which gives a bold earthiness to the flavour, but this is backed up by a soft sweetness like mint toffee and demerara sugar along with some sugar-coated almonds. The whole palate is lifted by a distinct eucalyptus note, and finally the aftertaste has hints of clove, leather, and peppermint..

Born in Glasgow, but now living in Toronto, he has ignited thousands of Canadians’ passion for Single Malt before being appointed Canadian Brand Ambassador for Ardbeg and Glenmorangie.

His well-honed palate was developed pairing whisky drinkers with their perfect dram where he gained a reputation of hosting engaging presentations to both those new to Scotch and experienced malt enthusiasts.

Bryan’s obsession with Ardbeg and Glenmorangie is not just what’s in the glass, but the history of both brands and how it ties to Scotch Whisky as a whole. His interest in the scientific aspects of Scotch making is clear, but just as important to him is the social world that exists around his favourite drink and how it brings people together.

Recently the whisky loving public voted Bryan, ‘Outstanding Brand Ambassador in Canada’ for 2024 winning him a prestigious TWE Award.
