Delia Derbyshire Day returns to FoN as part of the charity's 10th anniversary activities celebrating the pioneering electronic musician and composer whose works include the instantly recognisable theme from Doctor Who.
This will be a relaxed evening of presentation and performance of works by Delia Derbyshire Day commissioned artists who have created audio-visual works inspired by the Delia Derbyshire Archive based in Manchester. There will also be a chance to chat to some of the artists involved and hear about their creative process, the archives and this small electronic music charity.
The second part of the evening will present new collaborative responses to the Delia Derbyshire Archive by members of the FON Music Lab and guests, created earlier that day in a special 'Barrow-phonic Workshop'.
