Course DetailsWhen you have been one of the thousands of people who have purchased a magazine fed semi-automatic rifle for home defense, you should attend training in how to optimally and accurately use it in realistic home defense situations. This eight-hour one-day class, teaches students the essentials of fighting with a rifle inside the confines of your home. This class is designed around the AR-15 family of rifles, but any semi-automatic or repeating rifles are welcome. Topics covered will include safety, operation, loading, unloading, condition 3 storage, malfunctions, zeroing, shooting positions, mechanical offset and more depending on class size and student performance.
Gear Requirements:
This course requires a semi-automatic rifle, at least three 30-round magazines or five 20-round magazines, a sling, carrying case and 200 rounds of rifle ammunition.
Recommended Gear:
This course recommends knee pads. Keep in mind the context of this course. At 2AM when you hear glass breaking, you will likely only have what is on or in your rifle. Unless you sleep in full kit, magazine pouches, battle belts and chest rigs to carry extra magazines are not necessary for this course.
