Come participate in a defensive pistol match!COST: $10 (member) / $20 (non-member)
AMMO: 64 minimum rounds needed (Bring 100)
IMPORTANT NOTES:
NO guns (AT ALL) permitted in the Shack.
Designated Safe Area (can handle unloaded firearm. NO AMMO or MAGS allowed)
COLD RANGE RULE (NO concealed guns allowed on any person, whether shooting the match or even just watching in the pistol bay area)
GENERAL REMINDERS:
Safety - unloaded gun can be holstered with NO mag inserted. Follow Cold Range Rule protocol. NOTE: mags can be loaded anywhere EXCEPT in the Safe Area.
Eye & Hearing Protection - required for anyone in the shooting area.
Gear - cover garment required (can be vest, shirt, jacket, etc.) that covers gun & mag pouches; belt needs to of firm design & go through all pant belt loops; holster should be of kydex or hard leather design (appendix-style permitted but may be required to demonstrate safe draw); 2 mag pouches permitted on belt (can be 2 singles or 1 double). NOTE: if you DO NOT want to draw from a holster, you DO NOT have to & can start with muzzle at low-ready.)
Pistol caliber - generally, this is to be 9MM or higher caliber. However, do know there may be 380ACP or even 22LR. Bring what you have & we will let you shoot. Bring AT LEAST 3 magazines.
Safety Officer General Range Commands - we will make sure this is clear before beginning the matches.
