This webinar, delivered by Enda McKenna of McFarland Consulting Ltd, will discuss the methods for accurately inspecting, testing and monitoring our deteriorating structures, why concrete & steel frame structures deteriorate and how to identify the early onset of defects on both reinforced concrete and brick/stone clad steel framed structures. Innovative remediation measures including cathodic protection, and case sudy examples will also be discussed. Case studies will include The Four Courts Dome, The Shelbourne Hotel Façades, and Castle Cornet Bridge, Guernsey. The talk will last approximately 45mins, with an opportunity to ask questions in a 15min Q&A.

Enda McKenna is a Director at McFarland Consulting Ltd and is the current Chairman of the NI Concrete Society. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the forensic investigation, assessment and remediation of defective and ageing structures throughout the UK and Ireland.
