About this Event
Join Us for the 'Deeper Representation' Community Research Presentation & Celebration!
Join us to hear powerful insights from Diverse Ethnic Research Alliance (DERA) Community Representatives across Gloucestershire as they share findings from their Deeper Representation project. This event explores lived experiences of people from diverse ethnic communities, who are seldom heard, exploring how mental health and wellbeing support is accessed and received. Snacks and refreshments will be available on arrival, as we invite, and celebrate, the diverse communities of Gloucestershire.
What the Research Presentation Explores
• Our unique and creative Circle of Enquiry method which is a form of Community Participatory Action Research (CPAR).
• Diverse communities’ strengths and contributions in promoting inclusive and supportive mental health and wellbeing support.
• Why people from Diverse Ethnic Communities may be less likely to access preventative mental health support and experience crisis
• What changes are needed to improve representation, reduce barriers, and build more culturally responsive support services
