DEEPEN YOUR BACKBENDSWorkshop with Adriana
In this workshop, you will deepen your back mobility through a sequence of drills that will activate the different areas of your body involved in back arches, from the hips to the upper back.
We will explore preparatory postures to open the shoulders effectively, activate the abdomen, and mobilize the hips. Once the body is ready, we will flow through different bridge and cobra poses, gaining stability and strength to hold Naṭarājāsana, the dancing Shiva pose.
We'll start by establishing the alignment that best suits your body to obtain the most benefits from back extension poses—progressing into more advanced postures safely and offering variations for different levels.
The āsanas associated with back extension are meant to invert the mind, to look in and back. These poses are closely associated with intuition and inner wisdom. This expansive workshop will help you feel deep physical and mental strength.
Expect a sequence that will teach you how to warm up your body and prepare it for deeper back extensions, gaining mobility in your spine and feeling confident in your yoga practice.
You will learn drills and exercises to maintain your back strength and mobility at home.

WHO CAN JOIN
This workshop is accessible for ALL students: Whether you have an advanced practice and want to deepen your back extensions, you are starting your asana practice, or feel stuck in this type of movement.
Adriana will offer a multitude of options for different levels of practice (from basic to advanced variations). The intensity of the class will be adapted according to stamina.

ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR
Adriana loves sharing her passion for movement. A passion that has improved her relationship with herself, her community, and the environment around her. It is impossible not to want to share it with others. Her purpose is to inspire those around her to get curious in their own path of connection with their body.
Adriana is a dedicated yoga teacher with over 10 years of personal practice. From her early years of practice, she was fascinated by the subtle ways in which movement can transform our way of living. Over the years, she has deepened her understanding of the body through contortion training and the study of therapy-based disciplines.
She finds passion in observing and understanding the human body and creating sequences that help your body find ease into deep poses. However, what made her fall in love with the practice of yoga was the energy of the Ujjāyī breathing: All students flowing and breathing as one.
She loves holding space for her kula (community). A space for creativity and inclusion, where our paths of self-transformation converge.
