As the year folds quietly into its final days and winter settles around us, we are invited into a softer rhythm - one of deep rest, introspection, and renewal. Winter is not a time of lack, but of hidden richness. Where the body restores itself, and where we meet our inner wisdom.
During winter we may feel:
• A need for more solitude, softness, warmth, and rest
• A desire to retreat from the noise of the year and move at your own pace
• A sense of uncertainty, fear or resistance as everything slows down
• A gentle clarity arising from the stillness - simply knowing what matters
• A longing for nourishment, connection, and inner listening
In traditional Chinese medicine, winter corresponds to the Water element, the season of the kidneys and bladder, the keepers of our vital essence, libido, willpower, and the capacity to flow through life.
Its wisdom is found in quiet.
Its medicine is rest.
Its invitation is to trust.
This day retreat is a sanctuary for you to land, soften, breathe, and replenish. During the quiet days between Christmas and New Year. We will gather as a small circle of 7 women, welcoming winter with ritual, nourishment, movement, and deep rest.
During our winter day together, we’ll experience…
Nourishing plant-based winter foods. A grounding menu designed to support the Water element, kidneys, and nervous system. Reishi black tahini cacao; A TCM-inspired mulled wine ritual; snacks and a winter lunch to replenish.
Essential oils for the Water element - geranium, ylang ylang, jasmine, and basil diffused throughout the day to nourish yin, uplift the spirit, ease fatigue, and support emotional balance.
Yin Yoga & embodiment practices. A slow, spacious yin practice focused on the kidney and bladder meridian lines, in a gentle cocoon-like winter nest.
Restorative rituals and a quiet, mindful walk (weather permitting) to listen to the landscape and sense the stillness of the season.
Time to journal, reflect, share, and create. Space for conversation, rest, and gentle creativity in a supportive community.
