About this Event
Travel back in time to the start of our journey, beginning with the formation of the solar system. We'll then go forwards in time stopping at various points along the way to listen to a narrative, exploring key events such as the formation of the Moon, the oceans, the origins of life, and mass extinction events such as that of the dinosaurs 66 million years ago, right up to the present day.
This Deep Time Walk is an interactive way of grasping the vastness of Earth's 4.6 billion-year history, highlighting how humans have evolved in the blink of a geological eye. It invites participants to view the world differently, explore our deep interrelationship with the more-than-human world, and encourage positive action to address the climate and nature emergencies.
Your guide Paul will facililtate the walk using using materials provided by the Deep Time Walk Project. The narrative used brings together knowledge and scientific evidence from many disciplines, in what the creators consider to be the mainstream scientific consensus.
Hosted in collaboration with Awenra Pathways.
Attendance is free and participants are welcome to make a voluntary donation to the Deep Time Walk project 👉🏻https://www.deeptimewalk.org/donate/.
