Add a touch of Renaissance brilliance to your lettering! This workshop explores traditional techniques like shading, drop shadows, and the elegant Lombardic capital style.
You’ll also create stunning traditional white vine letters and learn to paint neo-classical Renaissance capitals with rich color and delicate ornamentation. Using watercolor and gouache, you’ll capture the artistry of an era known for its luminous beauty and refined craftsmanship.
WHO: This class is designed for adults and mature adolescents.
PREREQUISITE: Any calligraphy class, OR a strong art background.
WHERE: Online via Zoom.
(LIVE interactive online workshop, 12 students maximum)
RECORDINGS: Available for review for an extended period.
WHEN: This class includes 6 weekly lessons,
on Mondays, June 2 through July 14, 2025 (no class July 7)
from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Eastern Time.
