Workshop Description
Do you have leftover notebooks that need a new purpose? Bring it to life as a Deconstructed Art Journal! Come transform a plain composition book with vintage images, fabrics, postcards, and other surprises. LaVera Wilson will teach a variety of fun and easy techniques using everyday items and art supplies uniquely and creatively. Bring in photos, poems, or drawings (or get inspired by SCRAP materials) and we will incorporate them into the pockets, tucks, and windows of your journal. Create a one of a kind embellished work of art to treasure for years to come.
Please note we have a sliding scale for tickets for this event! The breakdown is as follows:
General Admission #1: Covers the cost of workshop and materials
General Admission #2: Covers cost of workshop, materials, and supports the instructor
General Admission #3: Covers cost of workshop, materials, supports the instructor, and helps keep our workshops more accessible for those in need
About LaVera Wilson
LaVera Wilson is a mixed media textile book artist and fabric jewelry designer. After working for over 10 years for East Bay Public Libraries, she decided to combine her love of books, art, nature and upcycling to create ECOSTORYBUILDERS, a business that provides expressive book arts programming for children, teens and adults throughout the Bay Area.
