About this Event
The role of local community campaigns has been central to the establishment of the Manchester Social Housing Commission. At this event we will introduce the work of the Commission and its achievements and what still needs to be done to provide good quality, safe, affordable and secure homes in Manchester.
We will learn from the work of the Institute for Social Policy, Housing and Equalities Research (i-Sphere) on race, ethnicity and homelessness and think about what this means for Manchester.
The Commission will present their latest report on what needs to be done to ensure our homes are decent and that local communities have control over how their neighbourhoods are developed.
