Depth writing is a holistic creative practice underpinned by Jungian psychoanalysis that uses writing and imagination to support transformational growth. This workshop is part of a regular series linked to the monthly Depth Writing With Dr Rachel dispatches & writing prompts over on Substack.

The December workshop will explore the wisdom and alchemy of pain. Over the 75 minutes, we will take time out from the business of life to meet in a friendly, supportive online space to discuss the topics explored in the latest post and write together with the gentle guidance of Dr Rachel.
The workshop will be a chance to write, connect, reflect and share on some of the myriad complex issues we face as individuals, as communities and as a planet. It will include sharing in small groups and approximately 30 minutes writing time.
The focus of the workshop will be on process & what comes up in the writing rather than outcome & craft and there will be no pressure to read anything out. This means no previous writing experience is necessary - just a spirit of adventure and curiosity!
Throughout the workshop you are invited to take responsibility for your own experience and work with the material at a level that feels right for you. You are also invited to practice CARE - Confidentiality, Attention, Respect & Empathy - with others.
About Dr Rachel Newsome
I'm a Jungian-based writer and teacher. I hold a doctorate in applying Jungian psychoanalysis to creative writing and have twenty years teaching experience as a lecturer in Higher Education. I'm the Founder of Depth Writing With Dr Rachel – a holistic creative learning programme underpinned by Jungian psychoanalysis that uses writing and imagination to support transformative growth and am passionate about helping others tap into the unconscious and untether creativity. I’m an HEA Associate, an Editorial Board Member at the London Arts-Based Research Centre and love diving deep!
