DTE Gas Major Accounts invites you to join us for a day of info-exchange on technologies for your organization to move toward net zero carbon. Our energy landscape is rapidly evolving toward a low carbon future, and you need to be aware of the multiple solutions available. Come enjoy and educate yourself on topics including strategic planning, carbon capture, cogeneration (or CHP), carbon offsets, hydrogen, and renewable natural gas. Our first guest speaker, Carlos Beltran, from Modern Hydrogen will discuss distributed hydrogen production from your existing natural gas supply with zero CO2 produced. Next, Jade Culbertson & Josh Irving, from NORESCO, will present innovative financing options including P3’s, performance contracting, and grants. Doors open at 11:00 AM and the information-packed program begins at 11:45 AM with buffet lunch provided at noon.
Our third guest presentation is from Kevin O’Connell of Michigan CAT, discussing several operational and upcoming CHP (cogeneration) projects at nearby Michigan hospitals. CHP can lower your operation’s carbon footprint by 25-30% as compared to the electric grid while providing significant energy cost savings, backup power, and a new source of steam or hot water.
DTE staff will discuss our carbon offset offering as well as many carbon reduction technologies such as gas heat pumps, Renewable Hydrogen, Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), microgrids, geothermal, and carbon capture.
