Death Shall Come Swiftly: The Masks We Wear is a new body of work by Los Angeles-based artist Kevin Lincoln Lizarraga exploring identity, symbolism, and the tension between life and death.
The exhibition features a series of conceptual paintings rooted in semiotics — the study of signs and symbols — examining how we construct and present ourselves to the world. Recurring elements such as the mask, no eyes, and smeared lips serve as visual language throughout the work.
For the first time, the series extends beyond canvas.
Select paintings have been translated into tattoos and will be presented alongside the individuals who wear them — transforming the artwork into a living, embodied experience.
This exhibition invites viewers to consider not just what is seen, but what is hidden… and what happens when those boundaries dissolve.
Join us for the public reveal.
