What happens when we talk about death openly, together? Often, fear softens. Curiosity grows. Life feels more vivid.A Death Cafe is a welcoming space to talk openly about death as a natural part of being human. Since 2011, Death Cafes have been held worldwide as a means to help ease discomfort around this universal topic. They are thoughtful conversations among curious people.
Reflecting on death can remind us how precious and meaningful life is. These conversations often help clarify what matters most and ease the anxiety that silence can create, making space for both laughter and tears. Topics may include life preparations, beliefs about the afterlife, film and culture, and personal reflections.
We hope you’ll come be part of the conversation and join us for the next Death Cafe.
Facilitated by end-of-life doula and fourth-generation UU Rosemary Kimble.
