About this Event

join us Thursday, September 12th, from 4:30-6:30pm to get cozy with the soil at local trans owned farm—Lost Greens Farm.

Lost Greens Farm is a sweet quarter acre regenerative farm nestled in the historic Cole Neighborhood of denver, providing delicious organic food to the community. They offer a variety of vegetables at the Highlands Farmers market, and donate food regularly to SAMe Cafe in Denver as well as on occasion to the Denver Community Fridges and the BirdSeed Collective in Globeville.

farmer sam will briefly show us around before we get our hands dirty with some gentle weeding (and bug befriending). feel free to bring gardening gloves or additional supplies like a knee pad if you have them, water or a bevvy, snack, a rag/bandana of some kind, and bug spray.

connecting with the farm has been beyond valuable to me and i’m so excited to

share it with you all <3

tickets: this event is free! please reserve a spot as we can only host a small group

location: Lost Greens Farm, 3701 Gilpin St. there's free street parking and there will be a sign leading to the farm entrance.

about our guest:

The farm was started by Samuel Jones (he/him) in 2020, and is guided by the philosophical concept of right action. There is no scarcity so fierce that it should require us to harm the earth or one another to take care of ourselves. Farming using restorative practices is part of changing our everyday lives to change the world. Local farming restores communities, ecosystems, and the individuals connected to it.

meet-up description: death & grief queer meet-up provides cozy spaces for queer and trans community to gather in mutual grief. we focus on a variety of themes and activities each month to explore what community grieving can look like. while we’re not a support group, our intention is to build community, learn new ways to express and understand our grief, and cultivate joy while de-stigmatizing conversations of death and beyond.

about the host: sky (they/them) is a queer autistic non-binary artist, tattooer, herbalist, and aspiring death guide. their intention for death & grief queer meet-up is to bring those moving through grief together, normalize conversation of death, and offer resources to community. this gathering is not a support group.
