Dearborn Corridor: Great American Cleanup

Welcome to the Great American Cleanup – Dearborn Corridor!

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED WALK UP VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED

Join Keep Sarasota County Beautiful and the Englewood CRA on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Dearborn Street for a morning of community service and positive impact. Locally, as part of the Great American Cleanup, a nationwide initiative led by Keep America Beautiful (KAB), we are uniting with volunteers across the country to remove litter, revitalize public spaces, and make our communities cleaner and more vibrant.

WHERE TO MEET: We will meet at Pioneer Plaza, 325 W Dearborn Street

RELEASE FORMS: After registering for the event on Eventbrite, be sure to fill out a release form prior to the event which can be done online. Step 2: GAC Release Form

TIME: Cleanup will begin at 8:00 AM;

Please Report between 7:30 and NLT 7:45 to receive directions from your site captain.

WHAT TO WEAR: Your event volunteer T-shirt! You should wear closed-toe shoes like sneakers, and bring sun protection, as needed.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Keep Sarasota County Beautiful will provide all cleanup supplies onsite. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your site captain who will provide site orientation and event directions.

PARKING: Parking is available at the location; However, carpooling is always encouraged!

VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NOTIFIED VIA EMAIL, IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION (not likely)

Info: When you first arrive, please check in with your site captain. Then, network with fellow volunteers. This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals within your community!

Info: During the main part of the event, you'll be actively removing litter from the cleanup site. This effort not only enhances the community but also has a positive impact on the surrounding environment. It's a fantastic opportunity to give back and make a meaningful difference!

Info: During the final part of the event, you'll report your litter collection to your site captains. This step is crucial, especially if you're tracking service hours. Your efforts have played a key role in keeping Sarasota County beautiful—thank you for making a difference!
