About this Event
Dead Serious:
How Death Made Me Laugh at Life is a raw, relatable memoir about surviving the numerous traumas and losses, big and small, that life can throw at you while finding laughter, resilience, and meaning in the spaces between grief and joy. Through close calls with death, addiction recovery, and reinvention, Sarah Marie Shoulak invites readers into her intimate stories where humor and heartbreak coexist — and where getting better matters more than just pretending everything is fine.
Join Sarah in celebrating the launch of their memoir at this intimate event held at one of our community's hidden gems: A Spiral Circle Bookstore & More. There will be community, a few excerpts read from the book by Sarah herself along with a brief Q&A.
Feel free to stop in at your leisure and enjoy the networking and fraternity.
The event will be free and open to the public with the opportunity to purchase a book on-site.
Thank you to ALL who made this book possible and those who find value in it as a resource on your healing journey. This was as much a project for me as it is for you.
I wish you peace on your journey as I seek to find it on mine.
