Dead Alive at Roots Music Project
Ladies and gentlemen, we're thrilled to welcome you to Roots Music Project on Thursday, April 17th, for an evening with Dead Alive!
Boulder's own Dead Alive represents the newest chapter in our region's rich tradition of Grateful Dead musical celebration. This extraordinary collective brings together seasoned veterans of the local music scene, featuring founding members from beloved groups including Left Hand Monkey Wrench, Colorado Dead Set, Peak2Peak, and New Speedway Boogie.
What began as a casual weekly jam session among friends has blossomed into one of the Front Range's most authentic and energetic Grateful Dead experiences. Dead Alive's approach is both comprehensive and passionate – navigating effortlessly between the Dead's best-known classics and their more obscure treasures. Their ever-expanding repertoire draws from the vast ocean of Grateful Dead material that has captivated generations of music lovers.

Dead Alive
Boulder-based Dead Alive is one of the latest Grateful Dead tribute bands to hit the Front Range. The band comprises veteran musicians from the local music scene, including founding members of Left Hand Monkey Wrench, Colorado Dead Set, Peak2Peak and New Speedway Boogie. Dead Alive is a collective of musicians who decided to turn their weekly "just for fun" jam into the most fun Grateful Dead experience they can deliver. Dead Alive plays everything from the Dead's "top 40" to their obscure tunes, building a repertoire from the deep sea of Grateful Dead material we have come to know and love.
