The DC Walk 4 ReCovery is dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, instilling hope, and offering solutions for individuals facing a multitude of challenges, including mental, social, physical, spiritual, and financial obstacles resulting from Co-Occurring Disorders that are associated with addiction and mental health issues.
DC WALK 4 RECOVERY CALL TO ACTION:
Join us in a national initiative dedicated to recognizing Co-Occurring Disorders, whether for a day, a week, or a month, as we strive to illuminate the correlations of both addictions and mental health disorders and their impact from the opioid/fentanyl crisis on individuals and communities alike; by utilizing our presence and resources on the iconic grounds of the National Mall.
This year the DC Walk 4 ReCovery will be introducing our inaugural Fly A Kite ceremony, scheduled after our National Walk. Our aim is to honor the cherished memories of those we've lost and those currently facing challenges due to the opioid/fentanyl crisis, post Covid-19, addictions, and mental health obstacles, domestic violence, and crime.
