DC Shoot Off Photojournalism Workshop 2025

The 18th annual DC Shoot Off Photojournalism Workshop is happening 27-29 March 2025

Check in, meet & greet, portfolio reviews & career counseling begins March 27, 5PM in the Chambers Meeting Room of the Hilton Garden Inn Arlington/Courthouse Plaza.

This program is managed by Shoot Off Visual Media Workshops, providing not-for-profit educational programing for our military and civil service photographers. The shoot-off programs are supported by the National Association of Naval Photography, a 501(c)(19) military veterans organization.

The competition categories are:

HACKMAN CHALLENGE - open to military and civil service photographers not eligible to compete in the Egnor Cup.

EGNOR CUP - open to military and veteran alumni of the advanced military photojournalism programs of RIT and Syracuse and past Hackman Challenge winners.

And of course the CHIP SHOT - for best overall single image from both the Hackman, Egnor and Shoot Off Online entries.

Also available is SHOOT OFF ONLINE (S2O) - for those that physically can't make it onsite, you can participate in the competition portion online.

This cost is $189.00 a night plus tax. Available till February 25, 2025. Parking is $30 per day.
