Explore Washington, DC’s rich history and culture through its vibrant public murals
and iconic sights! This unique 5-hour guided experience blends art, storytelling, and
city exploration. Attendees will visit murals showcasing DC’s heritage, enjoy lunch and
shopping at the lively Union Market, and see the city’s landmarks, all while learning
about the stories that make DC unique.
Uncover Iconic Murals: From Shaw and U Street to NoMa and Brookland, see murals celebrating African American heritage, civil rights, justice, and community empowerment. Hop off the bus for snapshots of these visual treasures!
Dive Into History: Explore a top-tier museum (final choice TBD – think Planet Word or Smithsonian American History).
Savor and Shop: Indulge in diverse flavors at the buzzing Union Market and La Cosecha food halls, with free time to shop for local crafts and artisan goods.
Explore DC’s Legacy: Visit Capitol Hill and Eastern Market, discovering art tied to leadership, progress, and civic pride.

- Start and End: US Navy Memorial, 801 Pennsylvania Avenue NW – conveniently located by Metro and the National Archives.

Preliminary Itinerary Highlights
- 10:05 AM: Set off for a guided mural tour of Shaw and U Street, soaking in powerful cultural and historical narratives.
- 11:15 AM: A museum visit to the Smithsonian's American History Museum to explore the history of communication (or comparable location)
- 12:15 PM: Lunch and leisure at Union Market & La Cosecha.
- 1:30 PM: Justice and Congress-Inspired Murals: NoMa and Capitol Hill. Visit the NoMa District, home to murals tied to themes of justice, progress, and leadership
- 3:00 PM: Wrap up back at the Navy Memorial, hearts full and cameras brimming with memories.

Seats are limited: A minimum of 40 guests is needed to proceed (max 52).
Lunch not included: Enjoy the freedom to pick your favorite bites on your own.

By participating in this tour, attendees agree to the following:

- Health and Mobility: Attendees must be able to navigate uneven surfaces, stairs, and other potential physical challenges associated with the tour. Please inform the tour operator in advance of any special accommodations needed.
- Timeliness: Attendees are responsible for arriving at designated meeting points on time. Late arrivals may miss portions of the tour without refund or rescheduling.
- Personal Belongings: Attendees are responsible for their own personal items during the tour. The tour operator is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.

- Conduct: Attendees are expected to behave respectfully toward other participants, the guide, and locations visited. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the tour.
- Weather and Conditions: Tours will proceed rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately and prepare for weather conditions.
- No Smoking or Alcohol: Smoking, vaping, and consumption of alcohol are not permitted during the tour.
