Dazed x MUBI Cinema Club is officially back, returning with a stacked new season of film screenings running from February through April.
The season launches on February 5th with a special preview screening of My Father’s Shadow at Peckhamplex. Directed by London-based filmmaker Akinola Davies Jr, this stunning and atmospheric debut feature follows two young boys travelling to Lagos with their father, gradually uncovering the secrets of his personal history against the charged political backdrop of Nigeria in 1993.
The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and has already received major recognition, including a British Independent Film Award and two Gotham Awards and praise for the stellar lead performance by Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù (Slow Horses, Gangs of London).
Tickets are now on sale for this exclusive preview screening on February 5th and, as always, include a free drink and popcorn. For the rest of the series, expect some of the year’s most anticipated releases, with films from acclaimed directors including Jim Jarmusch and Kleber Mendonça Filho.
