Daylight @ Bohemian Caverns ( The U Street Reunion Party)

A little Daylight history.....

After our H street debut at the Sanctuary Bohemian Caverns became the home base for Daylight DC . Back in 2006 when we started we offered a free catered buffet prepared by Nichelle Johnson and the party was a weekly event for only $5.00. Once the Sanctuary shuttered it's doors the opportunity to move the party to Bohemian Caverns on Memorial day Weekend became an option. Daylight was still in it's infant stages and DJ Source who connected with Omrao Brown gave us the opportunity to grow the party inside this historic building at Liv and in the Caverns.

There were countless epic Daylight parties but the five that stand out to me in no particular order were Michael Jackson Tribute, The Last Daylight Ever party, The closing Of Bohemian Caverns party March of 2016, The Rhomiepalooza party with DJ Stylus, and The 4th Daylight anniversary party with the Midnight Brunch prepared by Chef Jarobi Murray. I know I said five but I would be remissed if I left off the Maurice White Earth wind and Fire Tribute that party was Fire!

Daylight has showcased a lot of great guest DJ's and we would like to recognize them all but there are to many to name over our sixteen year history. We would also like to give a BIG SHOUT out to WPFW 89.3 FM for supporting Daylight by giving us airtime to promote the event to the community. Also we would like to thank Fritz Hahn and Rhome Anderson for the Going Out Guide mentions in the Washington Post.
